Well done bojan, pretty clouded and hazy in Brisbane this evening. I hope it gets a bit better the next few days.

Angry

Lucky bugger!
Just as the Sun was about to set here a thick bank of clouds came up to spoil the show.

Congrats on the capture.
This may sound a bit mad, but if you jiggle the bottom scroll bar, the tail stands out more. Kind of like when you tap your ep to bring up faint dso's.

Jeanette what worries me the most is how you managed to discovere that!
:-)

Great image Bojan, I'm glad someone managed to see it somewhere, even better that you've actually imaged it.

Well done Bojan, a great capture. From my vantage point yesterday all I got was a smoke haze, hopefully it will be better this evening.

Cheers

Thank you all for nice comments :-)
I forgot to mention, the camera was Kyocera, zoom to max (57mm which is equivalent to ~300mm, F3.1, 1/125s...
Actually I took 3 pics, I will try to stack and stretch them tomorrow, maybe the final image will be better...

Eric, it was taken 5 min after sunset, on Sunday 14th.
Attached is the result of two frames stacked and stretched ( now I realized I could have taken the AVI instead.. comet was bright enough for this).
Well, next time.... :-)

How the heck did you do that? I could not even see Venus. And the Sun set some 5 degrees above the horizon behind the smoke.

Typo I think, photo is from Sunday, I'm sure (when I saw the comet easily above the western cloud line) not yesterday which was disastrous due to the smoke!
