Fantastic, you have been busy tonight. Was blowing like hell here, only a few Km away, obviously not at your place.
Very nice stuff, dont blame you for being stoked.

Very cool! The "Hamburger" was the first galaxy I saw through my scope. Your image even has that beef patty tinge to it. Awesome!

That is a terrific photo Paul. Well done. You should be stoked with the detail!!

By the way, thanks for the Orion Neb shots. Computer locked up before I got to say thanks last night.

Regarding the photo above, I bet McDonalds would be proud too!

That's an awesome shot Paul, for your first galaxy it is really a treat! One of your best DSO shots ever I think!

That's just how it looked on Saturday night. Your image has a very good 'eyepiece view' quality to it.

Thanks Guys for the comments. Might try for sombrero M104 next.

Peter it was a bit windy here, but not enough to affect the scope. I did some tweeking to the polar alignment so that it would not drift in 6 minutes and then I took 3 minute shots. I went to image Jupiter as GRS was visible but got nothing but crap. So I did some DSO imaging instead.

Anyone got any requests, would like to get a imaging list together?

You should be pleased with that shot Paul. Even if it wasn't your first try it would still be considered a good shot. Well done

The orange glow? Is it a processing effect, light pollution or neither of these?

Paul not sure what the orange glow is the result of. It might be sky fog starting to creep into the shot. And I should take more shots of it next time to increase the signal to noise ratio.

Still happy with the shot and happy that you all think it is good. Thanks.

Nice one Paul, good to see others cracking the DSO's, and also a good fill in when the seeing isn't flash.
I tried it as well a couple of nights ago, got one 4 minute image that was blobby, (no relation to Robby), due wind. I may just give it another crack. Mine was an orangey colour as well.

I like the fact that as well as having the inner ball of light and the dusty lane through the middle, there is also a hazy glow around the galaxy.....quite beautiful, give it a three dimensionality.

Top work Paul. Why don't you have a go at the Leo Triplet??

Rod I would love to do the triplet, but I have a little trouble with a 25m high tree in my neighbours yard. I have tried to coax him into dropping it by two metres so that I can get some of those more northerly targets.
