M83 with an Edge!!

Not really sure about this image, I feel I have overprocessed this and not sure my range masking in Pixinsight was right, but it is my first colour image from the Edge 8" scope so going to post anyway!! M83 in LRGB, 11x5mins of L and 8x5mins R and 8x2mins in G and B. Celestron Edge 8" scope with Moonlite focuser, Orion AZ EQ-G Mount, Orion 30mm mini guider, Orion SSAG Pro guide cam with PHD2, SG Pro. Processed in Pixinsight with a touch of PS after.

Yeah, I tend to agree - need to drop it back a bit. In particular, have a closer look at some of those stars - there's some pink blobs that need handling.

What imaging camera did you use?

Thanks Chris
The camera is an Atik One 6.0 (Sony 694 chip) I am just learning about imaging at longer focal length so have to learn to control the stars a bit. This is my first coloured image with the 8" SCT so really wanted to post it.

It’s nice detail Malcolm! Not easy to image at that focal length with reasonably small pixels
