Tarantula Nebula

Have always struggled with good data and processing for this target, so have put some extra effort in this time. Have chosen to leave the colours pale, rather than cranking up the Ha across the image field.

It's wonderful showing so many individual stars in another galaxy with a 12 cm scope and 1 hour exposure. Bravo!

The Tarantula looks good too.

Thanks M&T, and good call on the detail we can pick up these days using modest amateur scopes. I know 60 minutes is a tad stingy, but life is so short.....
