Humanity Star for Adelaide tonight?

Hello All,

So having punched in a search for Townsville on the Humanity Star website, It guessed 7:20 tonight may be a good time. Having looked at the maps (orbital and weather), it ain't happening

That said, things look good for Adelaide, and others along the track... Anyone care to take a video?

I'm interested how it compares to an Irridium Flare (which my small mind finds somewhat amusing).

Enjoy

According to the website it has passed Adelaide now: when it was supposed to be passing I could see Mag. 3 stars (twilight still) but I saw no sign of it...

Heavens above have it in their data base now. It's not showing at better than mag 4.4 for a near overhead pass, tonight's pass for central qld was mag 7.6 not naked eye stuff.

Thanks Dudes,

That Heavens Above site looks useful. I think I've relied on SkySafari Plus at the expense of every other option. It appears Townsville will get nothing better than Mag 4 (with most being 7+) before it falls out of the sky.

I shouldn't get so easily excited
