Some double/multiple stars

What to image on a clear, moonlit night?
Thought I would have a go at some double stars.

15cm NexstarSE and ZWO 120MC camera.

Interesting work you've done there Richard. I'll stick my neck out and make an educated guess at what you've imaged.
Frame 1 - Alpha Crucis
Frame 2 - Beta Monoceros
Frame 3 - Castor
Frame 4 - Rigel

Have imaged Alpha Centauri and Alpha Crucis with my old webcam and 180 Mak a few years ago, just for fun and to see what would be possible.
Should maybe do some more with the newer camera with it's increased sensitivity.

Richard,
Well done.
The next step is to get a copy of Reduc from: florent_losse@yahoo.fr
This allows you to measure double stars...

Highly recommended.

Hi Jeff,

Very close. Not Castor but Gamma Velorum. In my browser the file name of the object is at the bottom of the image. Had a go at Sirius but have not been able to confidently see the Pup with the Nexstar 15cm. Would also like to try some of the more colourful pairs.

So 3 out of 4 was ok then, should have known it wasn't Castor as the stars are too blue / white . Your scope seems to be well collimated judging by the diffraction rings .

Hi Jeff,

The scope is very well collimated. Don at Bintel did it for me.
