Need a machinist

Can someone help me or put me in contact with a machinist as I need a small piece of aluminium turned.
I'm doing something stupid (putting a 10" SCT on an HEQ5-Pro mount - it actually seems to be working but I need a good counterweight to ofset the scope). I have a large losmandy counterweight with a 31mm hole in it. I need a plug to go into this which has a 19mm hole drilled into it, so that it can go onto my HEQ5 shaft.
Thus the overall dimensions of the plug are 31mm with a 19 mm hole and 40mm in thickness.
I will also need a flange at one end of the plug of about 40-45mm in diameter and 3-5mm in thickness. Thus the whole plug will look like a top hat with a 19mm hole drilled through it.
Hope the above is clear and of course I will be willing to pay for said plug.
Regards, Allan Gould

Good luck Allan, and if you draw a blank (I doubt it, but......) let me know. I have had the same thing made. Some of my early home made C/W's were with the 31mm Losmandy hole, and then I went to a Tak, which is also 19mm. I got mine spun from a piece of white polyethelyne, or similar. I may be getting another few done, so if you haven't sorted yours soon, let me know.

I'll send the info to my brother. He's a fitter and turner. He may be able to help you out if he is not too busy.
He's lives in Brissie.

Brass is still harder but more forgiving...Ali is the way to go. !
