Dslr ngc247

It's been a while since I've done any decent deep sky. It's been either cloudy or interfering Moon. But I did manage to get some data on galaxy NGC247 albeit noisy due to high night time temperatures. There are numerous galaxies in the background.

From Wiki "NGC 247 is an intermediate spiral galaxy (although it is sometimes classified as a dwarf spiral galaxy) about 11.1 Mly away in the constellation Cetus."

GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, FUll spectrum Canon 1100D, 742x30 seconds, HEQ5 Pro unguided.

Bigger at Astrobin. ---> http://astrob.in/319004/0/

High night time temps are giving me heaps of noise now. Lots of gradients in the pic, the stars suck too. Probably the end of deep sky season. Better luck next winter.

That's come out well considering the conditions. I had a brief go at that one a few weeks back, it's an interesting field. The tropical climate is nice to live in (most of the time) but frustrating astronomy wise.

Wow! That's beautiful. Gorgeous colours in galaxy and stars, excellent background, so much to see.

Thanks Rick. Yeah the heat is making things hard now. Winter was a bust.
