Tarantula NGC 2070

Tarantula nebula NGC 2070 from my backyard tried out with new
refractor 130mm not the perfect spot for imaging light pollution but I gave it
a try hope you like comments welcome.

A good start. What sort of refractor is that? Are you runningbit reduced and corrected?

Refractor 130mm Sky Rover f7 tripplet with a field corrector to 5.6 cropped image
it was going to be a different image wide field changed mind light pollution
so the image was cropped.

It's looking pretty good Martin but I do prefer the first one. The second is a bit over cooked IMO.

the first image of the Tarantula as got the best detail.You can see.

Nice one Martin, it is such an evocative region of the sky, the twists and swirls of Ha are just so mesmerising Looks like you may have used Ha as Luminance..? If so, this usually results in a silvery salmon pink look, it can be better to add the Ha to the red channel...if you didn't use Ha as your Luminance..ummm and considering your light pollution this is a pretty good result Enjoy your new scope.

Thanks Michael i used the HA as a Luminous and pasted the Luminous to RGB
next time i will paste it into the red channel if that helps easier to process

Colour in the core is remarkable, almost a 3D effect. VERY NICE

Astronomy alive.I was going to buy APM Refractor but the cost differnce
was quite more and i am happy with the results.
