Ngc 300

This was intended to be a deep image, say 20+hours.......I think it was doomed before I started! Only managed an hour or so a night, and a week later I only had 6.5 hours to play with. Some through average seeing and misty skies.

It was the most challenging image I have had to process, getting the colour balance right was a nightmare, but I'm pleased with what it is. I don't think I can get any more out of it, less anyone has any suggestions?

It's a bit noisey and I think it could do with a lot more data. It was also lot fainter than I anticipated.

26x15 minute subs

Thanks for looking!

I think that is quite a nice job Erik the spiral arms are nicely delineated. Wind!!!... was my nemesis, until I got inside an domed observatory.

It is still reasonably deep at 6.5 hours and the colour is great
Yours looks a lot better resolved than mine with richer colour.

Thanks Mike, yeah wind is annoying, I don't know what my problem was. When I was watching it was fine, but as soon as I left it it played up....go figure??
