telescope cover

Hi there ICE IN SPACERS. I'm just here wondering about something. I came up with the idea of covering up my 12" dobsonian Telescope with a box on wheels!!!. All I have right now is a wooden platform to stand on but my telescope stays inside the house.I have tables to bring out, eyepiece case, etc etc. I don't mind lugging all this stuff out , but I feel its time that I made a permanent shelter for the scope. What I had in mind was a wooden box with wheels on it and tracks where the non-turning type wheels would ride in a "groove". All I would have to do to observe is grab the box by the handles and "wheel" it out on the grooves and begin observing. any thoughts or ideas or information would be of great help. sorry the drawing is so terrible, but the point gets across...I HOPE.

Security?? From both people and bugs.

Weather proofing - raised concrete slab??

The idea is great but locking up and keeping possums out are a couple of things to consider.

Time to bounce some thoughts
