Two Gigapixel Milky Way

I have spent a while making this new 2000 megapixel image of the Milky Way including the Small Magellanic Cloud.

Composed of 366 36 Megapixel Images.
All images processed from RAW in Lightroom exported as Tiff then stitched in AutoPano Giga 4.2.

I Recommend You Enable Full Screen by clicking diagonal arrow button and have a fast internet connection.

That's an amazing image. What an incredible effort.

Love it.

What camera and lens is this?

Greg.

The Camera is a Sony A7R shot at ISO3200 30 Seconds
Lens is a Samyang 135mm F2.0 wide open

Thanks Luis. I had an A7r. Great camera. Did you use an automated panorama rig to take all these images? Administration of them all would be extremely difficult.

Greg.

Fantastic effort Luis! If you wanted you could spend another few years collecting data over the same areas to increase signal
