Manual EQ Mount

Selling this manual EQ mount. Its either a Mizar or an Orion mount and it is certainly a great little mount to use. I have been carrying my GSO 6" Newtonian reflector with no problems. It has an inbuilt polar scope for easy alignment and tripod is quite sturdy. For mounting a scope, the mount head has been fitted with a narrow Vixen style dovetail bar.

Asking price of $125 plus postage.

Hi Rodney,

I'm kind of interested in this mount. I'd be looking to motorise the RA Axis to use it for widefield dslr work. Do you know if this mount can have a motor attached to the RA axis? looks like it can to me but would like to confirm.

The polarscope and everything else is in good working order? (and is the polarscope marked to help with finding the pole? )

Hi Aaron, the polar scope does have the markings for sigma Octans to assist with polar alignment. I have also noted the presence of the shafts which look like they would support a clock drive but I haven't completed any research to confirm this.
