I must firstly say a huge thanks to Slawomir who did a masterful job with his mastery of the dark arts in aligning and registering the frames. I am almost converted...

Your new mosaic of the Carina looks great Scott. Glad I could help with stitching it together. Very easy task with PI, even a toddler could do it...
Nice work Scott. I think it's your best image so far.
Thanks suavi.

I personally still find it easier processing the frames individually and then stitching at the end
Thanks Colin. I did try stacking each panel individually but photoshop still couldn't deal with it. Then spent an hour puppet warping the whole thing with no success. Looks like pi or registar might make it a lot easier!

Thanks Mike. Going to try for something a little more challenging next. The dragons!
I agree that PI is the easiest way, I have found anyway, to put a mosaic together, not that I am any good at it yet....
It is great to see imagers supporting and assisting each other here.
Cheers,
Tim
Thanks tim.
I agree. That is the great thing about this forum. If you want or need help with ANYTHING there is always someone with far more knowledge and experience thsn yourself to help you out.
Registar is my pick for now.
Congrats on getting it all together, Scott. That's quite an achievement. If you're looking for ideas for improvement, I reckon it would look great with a bit more colour in the stars.
