Buy & Sell – No price, No buy? (for Leon)

Would you prefer to see a price up front, be prepared to chase it down or simply don’t care?

Guys - I stuffed up. I set the poll to allow 2 choices, but forgot to check the box to allow this - doh! (Mike/Mods - can this be fixed?)

see why Leon did not bother doing it? I deleted your other non-poll thread by the same title.

Thanks Steve - you're a Champ! I'm trying to emulate the IIS Poll Maestro, Mr. H0ugh, but I fall way short of the mark.

Cheers

I chose the second last option.

If the item was exactly what I was already looking for, I would enquire as theres nothing to loose.

On the other hand if its something I would only buy if bargain priced, I wouldnt bother as it doesnt appear likely.

I always want to know the price. Why wouldn't you put up the price anyway?

I think all prices should be kept secret and the first buyer to guess the price wins.

Of course if you actually wan't to sell something it's probably best to include the price. I voted for the second option.

I think it's upto the individual if they wish to publicly show the price or ask for a PM or whatever, if there are genuine buyers out there and the price isnt shown, it only takes an email to find out (sometimes). Although it is nice to know the price prior to bidding.

So , could we conclude that not including a price is a good way to discourage 'tyre kickers' and those only interested in a bargain ?

I buy lots of stuff on inspiration.......
In fact I haven't "needed" any of my purchases here, but if the price seems fair, I might be tempted.
Not putting the price usually means to me, "I want near new price or this is gunna cost you"!!
It is like a few companies I deal with that have no show room......They miss heaps of " oh what the heck, I like that" type sales....

cheers
John

I must admit that I like the price tag attached, but then if I really to want something - I will pursue. Second last option.

Cheers Petra

The poll needs more than one answer Dennis

If I wasn't looking for something and had no price, I wouldn't contact, but if I was looking I would regardless of price or no price...
