processing problem

Hello fellow planetary imagers,
hoping I can pick your brains about something?
I'm having trouble with some kind of automatic brightening when i load my stacked image into registax to apply wavelets. I've checked every setting and made sure its not set to automatically stretch intensity levels or alike but no luck as yet.
Below is a pic showing how the image looks after stacking with autostakkert.
and how it looks as soon as i load it in registax before doing anything to it.
The stacked picture is similar in intensity to how it looks on the .SER video.
When i captured the image i have the histogram only hovering around 50% just to be safe. maybe I need to go lower still? something else i've missed?
In the resulting image it took alot of trying to not blow out the center area of jupiter.
Thanks for any help

Leigh
