A joke I remember from about 20 years ago.
Dad & Dave had a horse each and they had a real hard time remembering which one was which. Both horses were even the same age, their tails were exactly the same length etc etc.
After the thousandth time of mixing them up, Dad thought of a great idea. He drove into town and bought a purple hat for his horse. When he got home Dave said “look Dad, I made my horse a purple hat so we won’t get confused no more”!!!
Next day, Dave spent a while working out which was his horse, then cut 6 inches off it’s tail. While he was looking for Dad to show him, Dad had the same idea and cut 6 inches off his horses tail!!!
Next day, Dad spent a while working out which was his horse, then plucked one of its eyes out! Yep you guessed it, so did Dave!!!
Still confused, Dave decided he would chop off one of his horses legs. “That’s gotta work” he thought after the messy operation. During the night Dad did the same to his horse!!!
There seemed no solution for them.
Then a week later Dad came up with a brilliant idea. He called Dave over and said “Dave, I’ve solved our problem son. I will buy a can of spray paint, and we can spray the word ‘Dave’ on your horse and the word ‘Dad’ on my horse.”
Dave replied “that’s a great idea Dad, now all we need to decide is what colour paint will show up on the white horse but also show up on the brown one too”.
