Celestron 11" Edge HD ota + accessories

Folks,

I've had a huge amount of fun - and satisfaction - from this scope, but my imaging is heading in a different direction, so my trusty C11 needs a new home

This 11" Edge HD scope includes all the standard features of the Edge HD range such as coma-free and flat field right across the FOV, making it a stunning visual scope but also very versatile for imaging with native f/10, f/7 with reducer and f/2 with Hyperstar. The Edge HD scopes all feature mirror locks that are easily applied once good focus is found and prevents mirror shift when slewing.

The scope weighs only ~13kg bare, so rides nicely on an EQ6-class mount, although I'd recommend a mount with a little more payload capacity and/or an obsy if you're interested in DSO imaging as it's big wind sock when in operation

I've done almost all my planetary imaging with this scope and it really does get the best out of whatever the atmosphere wants to give.

I've really kitted the scope out with accessories, including:
  • 0.7x reducer for Edge HD 11" (removable)
  • Feathertouch Microfocuser
  • TEMPest fans fitted in the standard Edge HD vents
  • Additional TEMPest fan for the secondary (never used)
  • Bob's Knobs fitted (still have the original screws if you prefer)
  • Baader ClickLock visual back
  • Celestron OAG with large SCT and DSLR adapters
  • Astrozap dew shield and Dew-Not heater strap
  • huge Pelican case to transport the scope - or a price reduction without

I also have the original box, but quite frankly the Pelican case is much more suitable for shipping/transport.

All-in-all, this little lot would be $9000 new - I'm looking for $5250.

Inspections welcome - I'm in south Brisbane. Would prefer local pick-up due to the size and weight of the whole bundle, but I could deliver (at cost) at an agreeable distance. Alternatively, it can be shipped by a carrier of your choosing.

Contact by PM please.

Cheers,
Dunk
