Edwards 12E6/841 Vacuum Coating Unit
Used for coating mirrors, etc.
Bell jar, diffusion pump, single stage backing pump, vacuum gauges, HV and LV power supplies, support posts, electrical and mechanical feed-throughs, quartz crystal thickness monitor (without head), some spare parts (baffle valve, cables, o-rings, ...).
It all was working OK when last used. The backing pump shaft oil seal probably should be replaced - should be available from any bearing supplier.
FREE to good home.

A filing cabinet which has been used for storing the coater spare parts.
However you also get the rest of its contents:
several telescope mirror blanks,
miscellaneous lens blanks and bits of optical glass,
test plates of various curvatures,
matched set of 6 mounted 111.5 mm focal length lenses,
leica stereo zoom microscope head for parts only
Pickup only.
Note: The coating unit is very heavy and must remain upright and so cannot be transported in a car.
