Question.

Been sitting outside the last couple of nights just star gazing and have noticed brief flashes of light like a airliner but no movement. they are along the centre of the milky way and are not metorites. What an I seeing. Times are between 8.00 pm and 9.00 pm.

You can download satellite tracker apps, that would be useful to eliminate things like Iridium flashes.iridiums rotate slowly so you may not think they are moving as the next flash may be far away or it has disappeared behind the earths limb. Given the time of your report that would be a logical explanation.

Thank-you all. Will keep trying. Seems the mystery object is still to be identified.
