The return of Sunspot 923 (?) - New spot number 926 (formerly area S684)

I'm fairly confident that this spot is the return of 923. The timing is about right and the shape and outline are about right, along with the central protrusion into the center of the spot. I have not found it's new number yet so I'll stick with 923 (?) until its given a number.

It was a bit of a dog's breakfast up there this morning so the magnification is fairly low (about 120X).

Nice image Paul, but I would've thought 923 would be another week away? It's only been gone for 1 week hasn't it?

I think your right Mike. I've been going back over the dates and it is a fair bit early. The last date we have for it here is the 17th. Given that it will take two and a half weeks to come around again. If it isn't 923, and 923 does make it round again, we could be in for a couple of weeks of good sunspot viewing.
