well i had friday off.........

It was our annual picnic day, where I get to spend my hard earned money to entertain the kids for a few hours.

So I thought I would test the 350D and the sigma 18-200 lens. I am happy with the results, however i did set the ISO to 400 and on occasions 800 because of the shear speed of some of the rides, hence the grain. the poor camera had to find, focus and shoot all in a millisecond, did OK too. the kids had a ball, got full of chippies and drinks, ice creams, and a hot dog, not to mention chocky's and heaps of rides.

Sounds like a great day out - the rides look good, and it made an excellent excuse to play with the camera.

How much did they charge for a ride on the tug?

Ahh .... " the price is right "

Seriously though, it looks like you all enjoyed it. What better way is there to spend a day off?

(Except doing the rounds of various Astro-suppliers with a nitrogen-cooled credit card of course!)

We went to the vineyards last month, and I took about 100 shots of family and scenery with the D70 still set on ISO 1600 from my last astroimaging session..... Noise ninja even had troubles fixing them....

Mate i didn't even go on the dodgems, I saw someone do their back on theslide just as we got there, the launched 2nd bump and the rest was history. to make matters worse the OHS nurse was next down the slide and saw the whole thing, so they guy in question cant claim a "work" related injury . so I bravely stayed on the ground and sent the kids up.

the sizzler looked, um, well , life altering too
