For Sale:- Nikon 300mm lens f4.5 - SOLD

Nikkor-P Auto f4.5 300mm lens in very good condition for sale. Use for DSLR, wide field or as a guide scope. Serial # 315174.
Has two tripod mounting points.
Price $140 + postage for a quick sale. This is a real bargain.

This is an unbelievable bargain. I have one of these for my Nikon F, and it was one of the most sought-after lenses by professional sports photographers for years. I would never part with mine.

can you get an adapter for mounting it on a canon or Pentax? I take it is a fully manual lens?

Yes on the net just type nikon to canon adapter
The cheapest I have seen is here but there may be others

Hope this answers your question hOughy - I forgot to add that it is a manual lens as far as a DSLR would be concerned

Allan,

Is this the ED version? If so, this is what I've just used over the past weekend to shoot the Large Magellanic Cloud (refer to DSO imaging forum) at Zane Hammond's.

It is an awesome lens.

I might just consider it!
