Red Bull Air Show - Perth

Hey all,

I finally have together some of the pics I took at the Red Bull Air Show here in Perth.

There's a few I'm quite happy with, especially considering how damn fast the things were moving. And if the Red Bull planes didn't move fast enough, well then they brought out the F18! Now that was hard to track when it fly's by at very close range (some shots it was twice the FOV - I only got a small piece of it, it was so close!)

Probably my favorite shots are a few more panoramic Red Bull ones, and then the F18 shots where the vapour is clearly visible above the wings.

I should comment a little about the event... They did it very well.

We rode around the river so didn't get a prim possy for photo's but had a great day and got to see everything (hangers on one side of the river, best viewing of the race from the other).

They had full professional commentary, really good atmosphere lifted by the commentary, music, video clips (lots of huge screens), etc. Really felt like I'd expect an F1 race or something to be with respect to atmosphere.

The show of planes was very good. There was an hour beforehand of various aircraft that I didn't get on camera - we were riding. Things like the hornets and other military aircraft.

Great event. Really looking forward to the next 2 years of it here.
