Astrophysics Mach1GTO

Hi all,

wanted to understand if there are any expression of interest in a pristine conditions Astrophysics Mach1GTO (no tripod)
I purchased it in new conditions in 2009.
It has always been stored inside, and sleeps in its Pelican Cases (2 of them).

I have upgraded the mount with:
Precision-Adjust Rotating Pier Base with Hi-Res Azimuth Adjuster Upgrade Kit (M1RAUP)
Pier/Tripod Control Box Adapter (CBAPT)
M12601 19.5" Counterweight bar

Comes with the Losmandy Polar Alignment scope (PASILL4) and Stainless Steel Counterweights from AP.

I will take some pictures in the next day or two.
I would prefer not to ship it and that it would be picked up but we can figure that out if there's interest.

Cheers,
Emanuele

Apologies for some basic questions, not that familiar with the Mach1GTO.
1) What controller do you have with it? In 2016, they released GTOCP4, presumably you have an earlier model?
2) Why are you selling this?
3) Do you have any examples of astrophotos taken with it?

I'm looking for a better mount (than my eq6) for astrophotography.

Hello Steve!

So sorry but I was away for a couple of days and just saw this.
I have the GTOCP3 controller.
I am selling it because my daughter will be attending University next year and need to save up some money. Otherwise I would never sell it, and I know I will regret it nevertheless.
Yes, here they are:

The AP mounts are certainly the best mount for astrophotography along with the Takahashi ones!

I thought I'd post the price here since I haven't.
I am now asking $7500 NZD for the mount with standard and optional accessories as listed.

I still haven't found the time to take some pictures but hopefully soon!

Cheers

A great mount as far as I know Emanuele and I might be interested but this piece meal, no photo's then "oh whoops ok here 's a photo my camera has problems sorry" blah blah blah instills no confidence in the seller at all..?? You either want a sale or you don't, so post an advert properly once and go from there mate...sheesh!

You are not the first and will not be the last...

Hello Mike,

Shees I think you are right!
I didn't do a good job on this advert, but between moving house and the earthquake, it hasn't been an easy period!
Nevertheless I will make an effort to take some better pictures with a proper camera.

Reconsidering the price on this one as well.

Cheers

Here's some better pictures Hope they are satisfactory.
The mount is flawless as it was used only 3 times in total since I got it.
Relocations did not help with time for Astrophotography!
