Smile ES 18mm 82deg?

Any opinions on the Explore Scientific 18mm 82deg 2" eyepiece? Looking to fill the image scale gap between the ES 24mm 82 and ES 11mm 82 for my 25.2" f4.68 dob. For the 24mm I get a magnification of 125x, and 272x for the 11mm. The 18mm focal length would give 167x. Want to steer clear of the 14mm due to the mixed reviews. Any recommendations?

Hi Stephen,

IMO, the ES 18mm, 82 Deg afov ep is a very good eyepiece.
I also have a 17mm Hyperion but my preference is for the ES as it is practically water proof and do not fog out internally. Also it is sharp right up to the edge and the image is brighter. On many occasion, I found myself using the ES rather then the Hyperion.
