Allan, nice shot. Just trying to work out the smug above Venus which has a globular to the left of it. Can not be SMC looking that way. Must check Sky Safari.

Update, so that is looking west so i reckon that smug is the Lagoon Nebula and the Trifud next to it.

Thanks Glen you are right there looking west ,I just went down to test out my Samyang lens 14mm on the 6d just happens its clear when there was a full moon .its hard to get the weather working with you lately
