Well that's a far more interesting cloudscape (thunderstorm?) than the insipid wintry cold Melbourne-like junk we have been enduring this Septictember and all winter. Winter has outstayed its welcome, it can disappear now.

I reckon it's the whole east coast. Sydney is not better. This weather is doing my head in. Just counting the missed new moons now. That's a scary thought...

Just go out and look tonight Col (24/9) - SPECTACULAR! Just watched Venus till it set, and waiting for some other stuff to come into my VERY limited FOV backyard.

Col I have had Three spectacular nights observing, with no clouds to speak of
and quite to very good seeing and transparency.
Tonight the seeing in the north is not so good as the other two nights but the south is brilliant.
Looking at 14.4 mag galaxies and having a ball.
