Orion is back

I have been waiting for Orion to get enough altitude to start imaging it again, and can report that if your willing to be awake at 3am it is now in position. At that time it is 40 degrees above the northeastern horizon. With first light of astro dawn around 4:30am it does not give you much time, but with the moon having set by then, broadband imaging would be workable. Of course, visually you get heaps of time for spring 2016 first light sighting..

I have considered Orion a couple of times as I am up at that time when out imaging Would likely only be doing narrowband on it though, in some respects there isn't much point in me doing LRGB from my red zone house
