Meade Wedge

Basic wedge from an old Meade LX50. Cast aluminium, no rust, lots of scuffs, bubble level long gone, but history incarnate--still set at the 32 degree latitude from when I last used it, in Phoenix, Arizona, many moons ago.

If interested, PM me.

I'm not a Meade owner, but a friend is. Are these wedges useable on all Meade 8" SCTs?

I think they are. It would fit my old LX50 10", and my later 8" GPS.

The LX90 series mount uses a single-bolt to connect the base-plate to the tripod head, and needs an adapter plate to fit onto the three-hole wedges - I'm not sure which type the LX50 series has.

You can buy the adapter at Bintel: http://www.bintel.com.au/Mounts---Tr...oductview.aspx - but I'm not sure whether you can fit a three-hole wedge onto an LX-90 tripod (which has only a single bolt top-plate).

I've just added a photo to the original ad showing the baseplate and wedge surfaces.
