Batten down the hatches!!!!

Looks like we're about to cop it here on the Sunshine Coast. That big one at the top is heading NE. Let's hope it clears everything for tomorrow morning.

Why! Why on the eve of the transit?? This really sucks. Is there an anti-rain dance I could try?

Yep, we sure copped it.
Man, it was wild!
My scope was on the verandah and was knocked over by the wind, hail, falling branch etc etc. The focuser is caput.
I thought we were going to lose our roof, it kept banging away. Must check that. More storms coming today.
Buckets of marble sized hail. Looked like snow. The wind was incredible.
Vegie garden and anything else leafy shredded and at least 8 trees uprooted or snapped off. ( caught one on video, the one that got the front verandah )
My poor horse copped it out there. The tree he was sheltering under broke, he was a shaking bundle of nerves after. He'll be feeling tender and bruised today I bet.
I used up all the battery in the camera taking video of the storm. Haven't been able to recharge till this morning, one hour before transit, because we had no power.
Hubby won't claim the scope under insurance unless there is more damage to the property because of the stupid $300 excess.

Wow, sorry to hear you got slammed Jeanette. I reacon you might need to smash a couple of window (hail damage).

We were very lucky here. The brunt of the storm passed just south of us. It really came down, rain wise, but the wind wasn't too severe and we only got half a dozen pea sized bits of hail.

It's a bit thundery at the moment. Bundy (my horse ) has gone through the electric fence and is taking refuge in the garage. Don't blame him for being a bit toey. He can see me through the kitchen window, cheeky chappy.

Paul, under a lot of the trees there was this frothe. See pics. Is it from the sap of the shredded leaves? I saw it oozing down the trunks while it was still raining.

And woo hoo our creek is running properly again. Flushed clean and looks good enough for swimming in.

Depends on what the tree is Jeanette. It's more than likely from the bark though.

Sorry to hear about your scope jjjnettie, hope your able to get it fixed
soon. Hope everyone else is ok!!!

We're almost in flood mode here, half the yard is under water. Tanks
are overflowing which is good.

Oh' yeah! it can stop raining now the transit is over and the garden is
about drowned.

It looks as though what has been over the sunshine coast and kilcoy has made it a bit further north and east, we are going to get it again too starting now.

Amazing how we had a few good hours this morning, god or something must be taking care of fools
