Leaping over the Cross

My apologies if this should be in the Nightscape section.

I haven't properly processed this image taken on the 29th of February this year.

Taken with a nifty fifty on the trusty Astrotrac.

Sigma 50mm f/1.4@f/4, ISO 400, 480 seconds. 0.9 hrs integration time. Nikon D810A.

Higher Resolution at: http://www.astrobin.com/full/260318/0/

That's fantastic Jarrod! Been eyeing off the Sigma Art 50mm and I think this has sold it!

Nice.

A top shelf result that makes me want to take my DSLR out west and explore wide field imaging.

Very slick.

Very nice. You're doing well to get 8 minute subs from the Astro-trac.

Lovely colours, Jarrod. And a nice field. I'm kind of glad that my eyes don't see that many stars though. Too mind boggling.
Well done - Trevor

Sorry for the late reply!! Work just got the better of me and totally hammered me tonight!

Many thanks RickS, Regulus, Atalas, Multiweb, StrongmanMike, Troypiggo, Marc4darkskies, Rigel003, gregbradley, Peter Wards, h0ughy, topheart, Ryderscope, and Atmos!

To Regulus- it is so star rich and overwhelming and a difficult area to process. I am happy that I didn't end up scrambling the background up!

uggh... I think I need a couple of coffees....
