Nagler 1 verse Nagler 6

I am pondering if I should upgrade my 1992, first series Nagler 7mm with a Nagler 6 whilst they are on special. My understanding is the newer series has 2mm more eye-relief (12mm verses 10mm). Anybody aware of any other performance issues between the EPs that may make the upgrade desirable. (I tend to favour using my Naglers with long telescopes, particularly my 115mm Vixen F7.7).

Thanks Astro,

Those articles suggest I shouldn't but my gut says its worthwhile.
I did have a 9mm Nagler of the first series which I sold and only recently brought the 9mm Nagler 6. IMHO, the new eyepiece is clearly superior.

Then again, maybe I should consider a Delite instead....

Interesting, I have always considered the 7mm and 9mm the best of the type 1s when compared with the type 6. The original 13, 11, and 4.8 all have more drawbacks when compared with type 6, but the 7 and 9 are not so far away in performance and size.
