NGC 6334 Meow!

Had a lovely run of clear nights in Sydney last week. I took the opportunity to image the Cats paw.

I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks of the colour. I ran PI's colour calibration but felt the result came up too blue, so I checked the manual cal box and adjusted the RGB sliders myself. Canon 60Da so obviously RGB even though it looks RRR

Imaged with the C11 Edge HD with .7x focal reducer (1960mm FL) F7.
Mount - CGEM DX
Canon 60Da @ ISO 800

Integration - 86 x 4 minute subs, 5.7 hours in total.

Calibrated with darks and flats, processed in Pixinsight.

Large click here

Thanks for Looking

Cheers

Rod

Cheers Mike, thanks for the feedback. It's not clear now, just cloudy

Hi Rod

Very nice and a great object!RRR eh,It actually looks like Its had Ha added in as Luminance although I did read your tech card.

Also,I know there only 4 minute subs but I think the star sizes a good considering Its an SCT.

Great result, Rod! A lot of dust in that area so the stars don't make a great white reference.

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Louie!

I recently changed from 5 min to 4 min subs, only due to histogram position. Certainly helped retain a lot of star colour. I do reduce star size with PI's Morphological transformation tool.
