Rainbows at Nobby's

These were taken on Mercury transit morning, at Nobby's beach up at Newcastle.

Saturation and constrast adjusted in RSP, resized + sharpened in Photoshop.

Canon 350D+17-70 sigma.

LOL I have never looked so good as in the second shot!! Nice rainbow, I know the building angles don't help that much , but with the rainbow it accentuates the field curvature and gives the illusion the buildings are curved. Nice colour!

Cool shots Mike.
The colours of the sky were so amazing that day, they produced some interesting effects, although it was the one day of the year we would have preferred azure blue.

Great rainbow.

there nice examples of what 'stormlight' (the raindrops and wet ground in the immediate area act a light diffuser, i think) will do for a photo, used to be my fave time to photograph once nice work Mike, I like these
