Cosmic Fountain - 30 Doradus

I'm slowly finding my mark when it comes to polar alignment. Still not perfect, but when I have to setup/pull down at the end of a session I'm pretty happy with this result. I've included a copy of my original effort from March 2015. It was one of my first ever astro pics and at the time I was pretty chuffed.

15 months on I think my new image of the Tarantula Nebula is a personal best

Taken - 12 May 2016
4 x 4min (ISO 1600)
Canon 600D (stock)
Telescope - as per signature

Thanks for looking,
Evan

It looks pretty good Evan, you're getting the nebulosity to show up nicely

Comparing this to my first attempt at this object, you're blows mine out of the water!

Thanks Rick, Colin and John. Much appreciated
It's amazing what's possible when you patiently work at a hobby and keep chipping away. Hopefully my skills will continue to improve so I can transition to galaxy clusters in the near future!

Cheers, Evan
