Yet another Milky Way

I'm just learning how to take sky pics. You've seen them all before and nothing new here but this is my very first pic of the Milky Way. Skies not overly dark due to the moon. I can't wait for darker skies.

Pentax KM
ISO 3200 (will try dropping to 1200 maybe?)
F4
30 sec shutter

Half an hour ago I was thinking about taking my camera out any trying some 50mm shots but as you say, the moon is just so polluting!

Considering the moon, you've done well

most people rarely even bother to look up, so be proud: you've captured something far less commonplace than the narrow perspective of an enthusiasts' forum would lead you to believe! (and quite well for a start!)
