Jet stream clear 9 April 2005

I checked the Jet Stream chart for today and it is clear of the continent. So for all you astrophotographers get out there tonight if you can. Great for planetiers. Unfortunately it would be the night that my girl wants me to go and see Ben Folds. So while I am rocking out I hope someone is taking shots of Jupiter, GRS visible tonight, so go for it.

I know Ron.
I got a break in the cloud about half an hour ago. Raced outside with my refractor, had a quick look at Jupiter through the swimming pool of an atmosphere, clouds moved in, popped down to Eta Carina, clouds moved up from the SE, managed to see Omega Cent, total coverage, Bah. Its all these telescopes and accessories that are being bought here in SE Qld.

I'll pop out anyway tomorrow just to say hi and have a chat. You never know your luck though, that damn high off the coast may suddenly move retrograde and pop back over the SE coast here and it'll be a beautiful weekend
