4" refractor
I'm looking for an APO around 4".
Particularly interested in a SharpStar triplet as they are highly regarded and have made scopes & components for the likes of Stellarvue & Astro-Tech.
Will also consider a good ED doublet.
The scope must be optically very good to excellent. I'm not an imager so colour correction doesn't have to be perfect but it must show a*very good star test.
The focuser must be a decent dual-speed model. Based on past experiences I prefer to avoid the standard "Chinese Crayford" that many scopes used to be supplied with.
