RCW58 now with added high rez data

Wolf Rayet nebulas show the power of those stars.

This is a rarely imaged nebula. It was rather poor seeing plus it was a bit low in the sky so stars are a tad blurry but you can see the nebula well enough with its radial spikes.

Nice one Greg, I agree the radiating spikes make the object interesting kinda like a mini Helix. I considered shooting this myself recently...too many objects not enough lifetime

WR stars are certainly an interesting breed, would LOVE to see what that looks like after it goes KABOOM!
Nicely captured Greg, not one that I have seen imaged before

Excellent work, Greg. I recall that's a difficult one to separate from the starry background. Structure nicely shown. Pleasing NB-Colour combination too.

Best,
Mike

Its an interesting one for sure. I probably will revisit this one with the CDK17. I already got some nice Ha data with it I should add to this.

The spikes certainly are very reminiscent of the Helix. Nice catch, Greg!

Nice RCW58 Greg You've managed to blend your HA data in nicely.

I noticed you have some OIII data in there I have been trying to to process about 10 hours data i pulled for RCW58 i have a few hours of OIII at 12nm was trying to get some of the blue outer shell but with 3 hours integration showed no structure at all .
Did you notice any real benefit to your OIII?

Hi Michael,

The O111 showed almost no structure. A faint outline at best

Nicely captured Greg. It would be great to see a sharper image of this for all that interesting structure. Will you be having another crack at it?

Hi Trev.

I have some CDK17 Ha data I plan to add. That has more resolution to it. I might add some more later on from the CDK.

Greg.

3 hours CDK17 Ha added

I added 3 hours of CDK17 Ha data taken at F4.45 on Proline 16803.

Its brought out a lot more detail.

Nicely captured Greg. Those RCW objects are often very interesting. We should pay them more attention.
