Older DMK "firewire" camera - how to power and connect on newer pc?

Hi all, I've been getting re-rigged up to do planetary imaging after an 8 year break. I have a DMK21 firewire camera I used in the past. Even then I had an adaptor card that slotted into my laptop with the firewire ports and an external power connection... I've long since moved on from that lappy and nothing I have now has firewire ports or facility to insert and adaptor card.

Are there any reasonably priced gadgets that would adapt a USB port to firewire and allow for external power to firewire levels? Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks,

robert

I'm in the same predicament Robert. I'm thinking of contacting Steve Massey at MyAstroShop this week as he sold these some time in the past.
