Canon T-ring slipping out of ED102

Hi all

A general question regarding a situation where my Canon T-ring adapter slips out of the focuser on my Orion ED102. I tighten prior to imaging and focus etc, but when move scope to new location on sky, slips out just enough to stuff focus.

I find myself focusing for each new object, any suggestions as to how I can
get a better grip of the T-ring?

Cheers Petra d.

are the grub screws tight? stupid question but can be a common fault? found mine to be loose on a few occasions.

BUT - is it the tring or the whole focus tube slipping down?

if the focus tube isnt slipping then i would look at a layer of tape for the short term then get yourself one of these from hotech- you dont need to have the screw on (but you do of course) - i have two - brilliant

Petra, go to a local engineering firm and ask them to cut a grove around the part the screw tightens up too.
Some TRings come with a cut out so it can't slip, but most don't.
The job shouldn't cost more than $10.
