Vernonscope Brandon 92mm Triplet APO refractor - PRICE REDUCED
My "Baby Blue" Vernonscope Brandon 92mm Triplet APO refractor isn't getting any use, and is sitting in my collection unused. When I view I use an Officina Stellare Hiper APO & Mak - so I have decided to part with the Vernonscope.
This is the "Baby Blue" Vernonscope Brandon APO refractor - an original air spaced triplet lens designed and manufactured by Roland Christen at Astro Physics.
The intention was to manufacture a 92mm APO and so Don Yeier at Vernonscope pre ordered 50 lens cells and focusers engraved with the 92mm inscription. Subsequently Roland advised Don that the lenses were measuring 94mm and so the remainder were inscribed as such. This example is one of the "few" 50 with the 92mm inscription and thus is very hard to find, and higher prized, especially in such excellent condition.
The lens is clear, unblemished and the unit is laser bench collimated.
It is supplied with original Vernonscope tube ring set and Vixen dovetail plate, plus original Vernonscope 2 inch diagonal and removable dew shield.
The OTA is in very good condition for a telescope of this age, and has been cared for exceptionally well. It is an excellent opportunity to purchase a classic, and a piece of valuable Vernonscope/ AP history.
I paid $ 2,000 for this unit a few months back, but do not need it and want to move it on Price reduced to $ 1,200

Option: I have also included images of it inside a hard case that I allocated to it, if you want the case you are most welcome, as I would get this if I was buying it. The case is $ 160 if you are interested which is a very low cost for a premium hard case. The case has a few minor surface marks but is in as new condition. It is fully foam cut lined and was purchased for a Sky Rover 115 triplet.
