Drift Alignment workflow

Hi All,
I would like to have a go at Drift Alignment with my AVX mount but I'm confused about the workflow for doing it. For instance, would I do a 2+4 'go to' align followed by the ASPA routine and then do a drift align? Or could I just do the 2 + 4 followed by drift alignment?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers -Rob

Robert, just do a 1-star alignment and work from there. You don't need any specific stars for drift alignment. Once you're happy with your drift, then park to home, power off and then do a 2+4.

The PHD2 drift alignment tool is really useful, if you're doing it through a camera rather than an eyepiece. As Dunk said, do a basic star alignment, then get your PA right, then wipe your star alignment and re-do.

Thanks for the tips guys. I don't use a camera yet but want to use the bare bones setup and practice the routine. I will do the one star align then try the drift align. Looking forward to giving it a go.
