EQMOD and Guiding

I am running EQMOD with my Orion Atlas AZ/EQ G Mount and PHD2 guiding. According to info I have read and seen on instructional videos, having an ascom connection direct to the mount enables PHD to not be recalibrated after a meridian flip. This is doen by either setting the EQMOD ASCOM mount as the AUX mount if using ST4 guiding or guide directly using EQMOD.

The issue I am having is that after slewing I usually have to recalibrate anyway even if a meridian flip is not involved. There may be a setting I need but I cannot find it.

Any ideas?

Malcolm
