M 104

Got some time last night to have another crack at imaging. Target this time was M 104, I used my GSO RC8 CF, NEQ6, Moravian G2 2000FW. Baader LRGB filter set. Captured, calibrated and stacked in Max DL4, post processing in CS6. CS6 was just a couple of curves and levels followed by a couple of Noels Actions and a couple of Annies actions, to increase star colour and remove noise and some minimal star bloating.
300 sec each of LRGB.

Cheers Shane

Looks like a nice beginning Shane It is always a good feeling when you can start producing images again. I am keen to get back into it once I get back from OS. Currently sitting in a cafe drinking a delicious iced chocolate

The image does look a bit soft. Not sure whether this is not quite perfect focus, noise reduction or just simply from dropping the image down to <200kb. Nice job though

thanks Colin, the softness quite possibly is less than perfect focus. I eventually plan on getting stepper motors for the Moonlite to help with focus issues.
