Astronomy Face Book Trading page

Hello Everyone,

There is a Facebook group called "Astronomy Buy, Sell and Wanted"
It has over 735 members and continues to grow everyday. As far as I can tell it is the only Astronomy Trading page on FB. So if you want to enhance the exposure of the items you seek or want to sell just send a request to
"Astronomy Buy Sell and Wanted.

Regards Paul
Admin of the Page :-)

There are many people on this planet who want nothing to do with Facebook, and its endless promotion.

There is a perfectly good classified section here on IIS and it has a much larger user base. Support IIS.

I have done trades in both FB group run by Paul and also the IIS classifieds. Both are good, but tend the find the IIS classifieds are more for those "in the know" about their stuff.
On the other hand, there is always Gumtree and Ebay, plus overseas sites such as Cloudynights etc.

I know for a fact that there are 3 other IIS members who follow the page. To each their own... I don't care for the constant distractions either but I have found ways of reducing the noise.

I certainly don't suggest people rush to signup but I also note that there are some interesting pieces that pop up every now and then, from other geographical locations, but most certainly they also show up in other forums that people follow. Again, back to what serves you best in how you keep up with the happenings.

Ok! spent my 2 cents... next?!

An advantage of community based classifieds, such as on IIS, is that we are able to come to "know" the people selling n buying. This trust is very helpful.

I am heartened by the level of honesty displayed in the classifieds by many members here. This trust/credibility is only available through having ongoing relationships with each other. And the credibility also builds up, so even new members may feel trust to buy from IIS.
