A-League action Newcastle Jets V Central Coast Mariners

Hi all
A mate asked me along to the game, so I took 300D and lenses too.
Both pics taken with 300D and old manual focus Canon 300MM F5.6 FD lens with a FD to EOS adaptor, hand held.
In case youre interested, Newcastle Jets won 3-1. Match was at Energy Australia Stadium. The final goal by the Jets was amazing, from a penalty, the bloke who looked like he was going to kick it ran up to the ball then instead, hopped over it while a team mate following him kicked it, a nice bit of decepton, the ball bounced off other players nearer the goal, only to just come in under the crossbar to score, absolutely brilliant

It sure was a fantastic game with over 14,000 watching. I brought the whole family along and a great time was had by all. To make things even better I didn't get thrown out either. Nice shots Scott I see you got a good one of Damien Mori (he was the goal scorer for the CCM). Dave we are just outside of the top 4 but it wont be too long now until we make it into a semi final position.

Would have loved to have been in the middle of the stands. The tickets seem to be in 3 levels, we had the cheapest, perhaps the dearer ones let u sit in the middle in the upper levels.
Anyways its my first A League game, and an enjoyable experience.
