The Moon - High Res Mosaic

Mare Imbrium and Mare Frigoris at sunrise are two of my favourite parts of the moon to image, especially at sunrise.

The Apollo landing sites are also spots that im sure strike a chord with many members of this forum (including myself!)

Combine these with excellent seeing and these areas are just mesmerising.

This was my first time mosaicing with the QHY5L-II, 2x powermate and EdgeHD 925 through an RG610 filter. Collimation i spent about an hour getting critical.

I took these on 19/12/15, its taken me this long to figure out how to get them under 200kb without too much loss of quality

Enjoy!

If that is what the 200kb versions look like, the full res would be pretty damn awesome

thanks all! Aidan I am not sure where to upload the high res versions (+ the full mosaic). i will browse through this section of the forum and see what others use as a platform for uploading high res versions of their images.

Thanks Marcus and Chris, i am still not sure what is best to use - maybe i should just use photobucket and link to that. i already have an account - then i can upload the full mosaic in full resolution. I actually didnt resize any of the above - so they are very close to the original JPEGs in quality/dimensions
