New Toy...

Thanks to all those who wished me Happy Orbit Day yesterday.
But I had to tell you what my awesome wife bought me.
Up by the Ob now is a WiFi Weather Station mounted on the fence with comms back to the panel inside. I need to sort out a USB Driver issue then I can manage and check it and the history all from the PC.
baro Pressure, Inside and Outside temp and humidity, Rain Gauge, wind speed and direction.

Cool Toy ....
Awesome Wifey ...

OK, so SkySlab Observatory has now got a registered Weather Station.
http://www.wunderground.com/personal...LAN451#history
Shows as Owairaka which is the Maori name for Mt Albert, our little back yard volcano. The Observatory is starting to look like a Scientific Research Station... must do some research ...
Contemplating putting up a sky cam now as well for clouds etc.

Trying to get it registered onto the WOW system which our Metservice uses as a source.
Ok so when it's windy and cloudy and rainy, hot or cold I have something to do.

( Shhhh! it's actually a cunning plan to scare the clouds away if they think I am looking for them. Opposite effect from buying astro gear .... fingers crossed )

Thats pretty Keool Brent and having it registered is great stuff
Was recently looking at some, quite useful and very accurate, so can get a better assessment of your local weather environment, gain further insight on the night ahead and having the dew point at hand is great
Noice going
